“This is fresh and so creamy!” is a common comment from customers as they taste this soft cheese. Our fresh goat curd is a signature cheese for Jannei. You don’t get a cheese any fresher, delicate or more creamy amongst artisan cheese makers. For those of you who don’t know Goat Curd is the first stage of the cheese making process. Typically referred to as a spreadable fresh goat cheese.
Our curd is lightly salted to produce a beautifully creamy cheese. No preservatives are added to it except salt so it has a shorter shelf life of three weeks. You can freeze the curd and defrost later in the fridge with excellent results.
Use our curd in sweet or savoury recipes. In summer you can eat it topped on sweet- peeled and sliced, summer navel oranges with a drizzle of honey for a tasty delight. Use in winter on sourdough bread, in tarts, dotted onto your favourite pizza, baked potato or top pumpkin soup for a luxurious flavour sensations.
Jannei curd is packed in 150 gm, 250 gm tubs and bulk in 940gm Buckets.
