Freight costs have now impacted Jannei premium raw milk sales dramatically!
Jannei freight partners deliver reliably refrigerated goods to your door. They also let us know it arrived safely. We are a small business working hard to supply a real food product as close to the farm harvest as you can get. We are licensed with the food authority of NSW. Jannei raw milk is a premium brand.
Things are getting dearer but we have RELIABLE PARTNERS. We hope our customers will support us with new leads and ideas- BUT -our best Sydney CBD shops are Wholefood House Woollahra, Cammeray Taste Organic and Unique wholefoods Leichhardt. Turramurra and Enmore Wholefoods. Katoomba Co-op as well deserves a shout out. Support these and you support us. Artisan is not Volume- quality takes passion and integrity which we have plenty of. Customer Bulk Group buying in summer also helps. You reduce costs to you-and we support you by paying the extra freight for any extra freight charges on the extra boxes.

– IGA Springwood was a supportive business for over 20 years -till two weeks ago- Sydney Managers seem to have gone back to tried-and-true policies on volume sales of products -brings safe returns. we do attempt to pick up new shops. We do deliver to the mountains and inner west ourselves on a Tuesday most weeks. Home orders are welcome online.
Dairy logistics are uniquely demanding, requiring temperature‑controlled transport, rapid movement, and strict cold‑chain compliance-keep this in mind- we are no exception-Jannei is licensed and has to cover all the requirements. Remember MILK labelled as Pet milk does not.

.
- Long‑distance milk transport is increasing. This is fact with processors -trucking milk “thousands of kilometres” due to regional supply shortages- factory volume milk has to be heat treated to kill harmful bacteria that enters from these trucks and farms are allowed up to 500,000 plate counts. The Critical control process (CCP)is to kill this potential to grow and be harmful. WITH HEAT -that is pasteurisation. We have to have no ECOLI in our milk- that means plate counts bellow 12,000. Our milk when looked after in harvesting – is bellow 5000 plat count. Its alive and healthy and promotes health at all ages.
.
- Rising costs for fuel, electricity, labor, and inputs are compounding pressures on smaller dairies. Ours is no exception. We are farmers so we have roots in survival living. It’s a blessing when things get tough because we can pull back and live frugally. Rest assured we are not passing on all the costs and maintaining our profit margins as large volume sellers tend to. It is the policy to cut those out that bring in low profit margins- as a default way of underscoring their viability. So, if we are struggling to stay in a shop and be in your area that is what happens. We appreciate our customers getting leads for us and we can try to touch base with these businesses – but our partners tend to be the ones who go the extra mile and support a specialist small business like themselves.
